holy thursday

i am in a great mood right now! after a gorgeous day of sunshine, a surprise Easter package in the mail from my mom, a spectacular sunset while i was driving to church and a service with seriously moving worship, i can't think of how my day could have turned around for the positive any more than it has.

and i'm expecting tomorrow to be an even better day, because i don't have to go into school until 2pm and all i have is a lab exam. so i get to enjoy the beautiful weather, perhaps go for a run in the morning, walk to the grocery store in the afternoon and get some work done. i feel really rejuvenated and am super excited to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior this weekend! and yeah, i realize that sounds corny and perhaps ridiculous, but i have a great weekend planned.

we have our annual oral cancer walk at school on saturday morning so i'll get to hang out with school friends (check!), i'm going the cherry blossom festival/fireworks at the national harbor saturday night and am going the sunrise easter service at the Lincoln Memorial on easter morning, so i'll be hanging out with church friends and my sister (check!). what could possibly be better than celebrating the rising of the Son with the rising of the sun? haha. a once in a lifetime experience to worship as the sun comes up over the national mall on the biggest religious holiday for us all year. (if you want to attend, come to the lincoln memorial steps at 7am on sunday. service starts at 7, but you should come a bit early to grab a seat and find parking since metro isn't running that early on sundays.)
