this is an article in the Chicago Tribune about Chicago Urban Project. it's a ministry of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, and i went on this week long spring break trip into the inner city (west side, Austin neighborhood) of Chicago my junior year of college! this trip, more than anything i've ever done, drastically changed my world-view, changed who i want to be and changed my life goals. the article doesn't even begin to describe what these kids are doing, and how each of their lives will be impacted by just a few days in the inner city, intense racial, poverty and social justice discussions and hands on work. enjoy! maybe later i'll dig up some old pictures and post them.
