the end of a long week

yesterday and today have been two very fantastic days.

yesterday i had a microbiology exam which i've been studying for for over the last week. it was sooooo good to have it over, i can't even tell you! the relief was huge, and it was nice to know that i'm all caught up in the class and don't have to do any more micro this weekend =).

when i got home, i had the luxury (rather, i took the luxury) of getting my fill of domesticity! i went on a major grocery shopping trip, made homemade baked potato soup for dinner, finished doing my laundry and heidi and i cleaned the entire apartment.

 the soup was a success- one of those recipes where i can't believe i actually made it! the apartment is now spic and span (where does that saying come from? it's weird) and so tidy. heids and i also watched the new epsiodes of glee and the office! it was so fun watching tv and not thinking about school or homework, just relaxing on the sofa. a nice change from the desk chair i'm usually glued to.

today i am so excited, too! this week is over, which means i have a full month of fall semester completed and this weekend i'm headed to a church retreat (Frontline at Mclean Bible Church) with hundreds of people my age. i can't wait to make some new friends, spend time in fellowship, and find out what truths God will put on my heart. He has really been blessing my life in the last few weeks, teaching me new things about myself- ways in which i'm completely and overwhelmingly blessed, things in my life i really need to change and ways i can grow and am growing. it is so wonderful having a Savior who loves, teaches and admonishes! i'll say more about the retreat after it happens, but please be praying for the weekend- that God would break hearts and transform lives, including mine.
