hurricane

i know i've been so lazy with posting blog updates. i just don't know what to write about- i have a lot of thoughts flying around inside my head, but none of them are well developed enough to put pen to ink...or key to keyboard (?). so how about a weekend recap instead?

i'll start with this: i'm in a lecture for my online course right now...that makes sense right?

then this: i did have a great weekend. friday night i watched toy story 3, that movie is hilarious! i had only seen it once in the theater, but i forgot what happens, so it was funny the second time around too. i think the best part is when mr. potato head disassembles himself and puts all his pieces back together using a tortilla as his body, and then gets shredded by a pigeon. :)

saturday was spent studying and celebrating rachel's birthday! happy birthday, friend! i hope you had a really great night. it was super fun seeing everyone and catching up a bit.

on sunday i got up earrrrlllyyyy and rob and i went to Christianity 101 at mclean. it's a 4 week class that goes over the basics of Christianity. i've wanted to take it for awhile, but in the main church it's 6 weeks long and you have to pay for it. since rob volunteers at the rock (the middle school and high school ministry at church) we were able to go sit in on the exact same course for free. yessss! it was a great refresher and the kids are so smart! i was way impressed with them. sunday afternoon i went to panera and studied for a few hours- i don't know why, but i love the atmosphere there for studying. i get lunch, take my time eating, have a refill-able drink, free internet and comfortable seating. you can't beat it! the only down-side is that you smell like panera food for the rest of the day, haha. thennnn, i watched the packers vs. bears playoff game aaaaand GO PACKERS GOOO!!! super bowl bound, baby! i'm so stinkin' excited. i even bought a new packers shirt online at 1/2-time because i was certain we'd win, and i am going to need some visible packers pride when i'm the only packers fan at rob's super bowl party in a couple weeks.

 bj raji brought in his first TD yesterday. the man of the night.

well, it's time to "log in" for our online course, so i'll leave you with this gem. i fell in love with this song yesterday and listened to it all the way home (like five times on repeat). it's fantastic. i suppose the title is a little reminiscient of life...a hurricane. a flurry of good  and bad, and reaching out for the Lord and trying to strengthen my relationship with Him among it all.
