delinquent!

hi friends!

sorry i've been so delinquent with my posting lately, but it's only because lots has been happening and i've been so busy! summer is flying by and i feel like i can barely hang on long enough to enjoy it.

last weekend was the big move! i moved into a townhouse about 2 miles from my old place with heidi, and now i have my own room AND my own bathroom. i'm pretty psyched outta my mind about it. i'm rooming with charity (a new friend from a nearby church) and jayne (an old friend from school) and so far...it's been a week...i love it! i love the house, and i love having both of them as roommates. they're delightful.

i also just finished up summer semester of school on friday. i'm glad the classes are over. we didn't have enough work to actually stress about or keep us busy, but just enough that it makes it a nuisance because you still have to pretend you're in school.

on friday i also did my first restoration in the clinic. it was a really tough one (so i got a lot of help) but it was really cool actually removing caries from a real patient's tooth! i'm excited to learn more and experience more- i feel like the first few things i've been doing in clinic have been teaching me a lot...like i'm a sponge just absorbing it all in.

so next week i fly home for almost a month. i'm sad to leave my friends in dc for so long (especially because when i get back the school mayhem and craziness will begin again) but i'm excited to see my friends and family back home. i feel so blessed that i've gotten to make so many wonderful friends out here in the past few months that i'm finally actually sort of sad to leave. i think that's a good sign. i'll try to post when i'm home, but it'll be busy as well- what with anne's bachelorette party and shower- that's already 2 weekends to enjoy in chicago, emily's wedding, and all the fun wisco things i have to catch up on (state fair, maybe a drive in movie, visiting the kiltie and going on the lake)!
