i know i've posted this song before, but it's so hard to fathom how much the Lord loves us, and i think by saying it (or singing it) a thousand times, maybe then i'll start to understand, maybe then i can actually begin to grasp "how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ!" no matter our sinfulness, no matter our brokenness, no matter how ugly or fat or pretty or skinny or mean or nice He loves us! He loves us so much he DIED for us. it's hard to get it, how One so perfect and flawless would give up His life for sinful me (sinful US), but i get a glimpse of it. a glimpse, as she sings, is enough to change you. enough to turn your world upside down - into someone redeemed, whole, forgiven, saved. Turn you into someone who'd be elated to further God's kingdom, to do anything to praise, glorify and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ.
"14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." -Ephesians 3:14-19
So true...love the post. Roman just realized that Jesus is dead...BUT...he came back to life...haha. It's been a fun revelation in our house as of late
ReplyDeleteso cute! my best friend's little 4 year old girl Hailey is just starting to understand and really "get it." it's so awesome to see the clarity they have...faith like a child. i can't believe roman is 3 already!!! i remember when you just had him. so crazy!
